November 12, 20203 min Read

The first-ever Bankrupting Fraud Virtual Summit is an endeavor to initiate collaboration and collective effort that can help protect consumers and businesses from the rising challenge of fraud and online abuse

I am overwhelmed by the response to the Bankrupting Fraud Virtual Summit, held on Nov 10, 2020. I would like to thank our speakers (50!) for taking out the time from their super-busy schedules and their willingness to share their experiences. I am grateful to the attendees for their incisive questions that provided us with ample opportunities to discuss industry-specific problems deeper and explore multiple approaches to find solutions.

I would also like to take a moment to thank the team at Arkose Labs for ensuring everything ran smoothly and taking on the responsibility of making our first-ever virtual summit a success.

From the moment we conceptualized the virtual summit till its end, we have been fortunate to receive support from all quarters. We were privileged to have speakers from a wide range of industries—finance, fintech, technology platforms, payments, and gaming. It is this collaboration and sharing of best practices that will enable us to fight the ever-evolving challenge of fraud and online abuse.

Key Takeaways

Through our Bankrupting Fraud Virtual Summit, we have made an effort to help businesses better understand the evolving digital landscape and prepare them to collaborate fearlessly and eliminate fraud. From understanding the ecosystem of cybercrime to bankrupting the business of fraud, the informative sessions provided a great overview of the fraudulent activities going on and probable countermeasures that businesses can deploy for long-term protection from evolving attacks.

The interactive sessions discussed how digital debutants will shape the future of the digital economy, what happens when fraud, identity, and infosec converge, what will be the added responsibilities for the future CISOs, and how businesses will need to rethink their defense strategies in the wake of continuously moving goalposts.

Apart from learning about the latest fraud prevention trends, tools, and techniques, attendees to the virtual summit got an opportunity to participate in live demos and engage with the industry experts in interactive master class sessions.

Collaborate fearlessly, eliminate fraud

At Arkose Labs, we firmly believe that when various stakeholders come together and share the best practices, we will be able to move closer to bankrupting fraud and resolving the challenge of online abuse. Our first virtual summit was not meant to be a single event. It is, in fact, a starting point for collaboration and the beginning of collective effort that is needed to protect the consumers and digital businesses from the onslaught of unrelenting and ever-evolving attacks.

If you did attend the event but didn’t get a chance to join any of the sessions or would like to re-watch a session, please log in to bfs2020.vfairs.com with the same credentials you used when logging in on the day of the event. If you didn’t get a chance to attend the summit, please be sure to register on bfs2020.vfairs.com to be able to access the on-demand videos of these insightful sessions. The session recordings will be available on the platform for the next 30 days.

Once again, I would like to thank everyone for your participation and spending time deliberating on this important issue that touches each one of us in some or other way.
