Fraud is moving from a human loop to fully autonomous systems.
Arkose Labs founder and CEO Kevin Gosschalk explains why he expects human-driven fraud to evaporate within a year or two. The criminal fraud ecosystem will move to autonomous systems, either existing infrastructure such as Muse or purpose-built fraud agents built on products like OpenClaw. Kevin says Arkose Labs is already seeing some of this, though not yet at scale.
About the speaker
We're expecting the concept of human-driven fraud to really evaporate in the coming year or two years.
Largely all of the existing fraud ecosystem that's being driven by criminals will move from what you would call human loop to just fully autonomous systems.
We're already seeing some of that, but it's not yet in earnest at scale.
And then this third population, which, we're expecting the concept of human-driven fraud to really evaporate in the coming year or two years. I don't think it's gonna take any longer than that.
And largely all of the existing fraud ecosystem that's being driven by criminals will move from what you would call human loop to just fully autonomous systems. And those autonomous systems will either be existing infrastructure, there's no reason to say someone can't use Muse to do malicious things, for instance, or more modern purpose-built fraud agentic systems, built on the back of products like OpenClaw and those kind of concepts.
So we're already seeing some of that, but it's not yet in earnest at scale. But we do expect that to be where things are going to go.
