Arkose Labs CEO Kevin Gosschalk spent 10 days doing all his online shopping through Meta's Muse. At one retailer, bot protection stopped Muse from reading a price, and the retailer lost a buyer who was ready to purchase. "Muse doesn't disclose," he told Business of Tech's Dave Sobel. "It looks like Chrome." For MSPs and IT providers who run bot protection on client websites, that means a customer's agent and an attacker's bot can arrive looking the same. The piece lays out the choice MSPs now face for each client, along with Arkose's advice on spotting rules that are already turning real buyers away and on using Web Bot Auth signatures to identify agents that should be let in.
