Arkose Labs detected more than 445 million cyberattacks in the first quarter of 2020 alone, with 26.5% of all transactions flagged as fraud or abuse attempts — a 20% jump over the prior quarter and the highest attack rate in the company's history. The Arkose Labs Q2 2020 Fraud and Abuse Report found the U.S. had emerged as the leading source of cyberattacks, while the UK, Germany and Canada also saw significant increases. The company linked the surge to COVID-19-driven shifts in consumer behavior that pushed more activity online and gave fraud operations new opportunities to exploit.
