SAN MATEO, CALIF. (September 15, 2025) Arkose Labs, the leading fraud protection, device ID and bot management company, is proud to announce that it has been named an honorable mention in the Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards for 2025 in the Mid-sized Business 100-999 employees category. The company has been recognized for Arkose Phishing Protection, a product designed to prevent the most modern form of account takeovers and multi factor authentication (MFA) compromise through real-time detection, effectively stopping advanced adversary-in-the-middle reverse proxy attacks.

Now in its 14th year, the Innovation by Design Awards celebrate the designers and businesses addressing today’s most urgent challenges while anticipating the problems of tomorrow. The program is one of the most prestigious design competitions in the industry, spotlighting work that exemplifies originality, beauty, sustainability, user insight, cultural significance, and measurable business impact.

“We work with the world’s largest companies and from that perch have observed cybercriminals leveraging AI to bypass Multi-Factor Authentication at scale through sophisticated phishing attacks, undermining what was once a trusted defense for global enterprises,” said Arkose Labs Founder and CEO Kevin Gosschalk. “Arkose Phishing Protection represents a critical component of our platform's capability to stay ahead of advanced threats, especially as fraudsters start to use Agentic AI to attack companies. This recognition validates our novel approach to building comprehensive solutions delivered on a single platform that address the full spectrum of account security and edge threats.”

Honorees were selected by a panel of leading designers, business executives from leading organizations, and Fast Company editors.

“The Innovation by Design Awards celebrate bold ideas and work that proves design is a true driver of business and societal progress. This year’s honorees show how creative thinking can unlock new markets, build stronger organizations, and deliver meaningful impact at scale,” said Brendan Vaughan, editor-in-chief of Fast Company.

"We are honored to win this award for our innovative approach to detect and stop phishing attacks,” said Arkose Labs SVP of Product Shimon Modi. “Traditional security approaches fail against adversary-in-the-middle attacks because they focus on credentials, not the session itself. Arkose Phishing Protection takes a fundamentally different approach by requiring valid tokens for every authentication attempt - even from reverse proxy phishing sites. This stops attackers from completing the session, effectively neutralizing MFA compromise attacks that other solutions miss."
