Arkose Labs announced a $1 million commercial warranty against SMS Toll Fraud, covering telecom expenses if its Bot Manager fails to defeat an SMS toll fraud attack within the SLA for managed service customers. The guarantee followed a case where the Arkose platform saved a social media company $3 million per month in fraudulent SMS charges. SMS toll fraud — also known as SMS pumping or International Revenue Share Fraud — uses bots to send large volumes of messages to pre-registered premium-rate numbers.
