Black Hat MEA drew on Arkose Labs' Threat Actor Behaviour report — which analyzed nearly 20 billion malicious traffic patterns — to argue that cybersecurity leaders must prioritize understanding adversary psychology and incentives over purely technical defenses. Key findings highlighted include that over 50% of all 2024 attacks began at account sign-up, fraud farm activity rebounded 599% in Q4 after a Q3 drop and a single threat actor can generate more than $145,000 annually targeting just 5 gaming platforms.
