BleepingComputer reported on a new Arkose Labs threat intelligence report exposing Greasy Opal, a Czech Republic-based developer that has sold CAPTCHA-bypass tools to cybercriminals — including Storm-1152, which used the service to create 750 million fake Microsoft accounts — since at least 2008. CEO Kevin Gosschalk told BleepingComputer the group's toolkit, which starts at $70 plus a $10 monthly fee, has dramatically lowered the barrier to entry for large-scale bot attacks.
