SecurityWeek’s Cyber Insights 2026 series on social engineering featured Arkose Labs CEO Kevin Gosschalk on how AI is enabling a new class of purpose-built criminal tools. Gosschalk highlighted the commoditization of deepfake and voice-cloning kits that allow even low-skill attackers to run convincing impersonation campaigns at scale. He pointed to the convergence of AI-generated content with automated account abuse as the defining social engineering threat heading into 2026.
