IT Brew quoted Arkose Labs CEO Kevin Gosschalk on the dual-use nature of locally hosted AI models like Llama, DeepSeek and Mistral, which offer security benefits for regulated enterprises but remove the content filters that closed-source models use to block malicious requests. "This technology is really democratized for everybody, and adversaries always use it better," Gosschalk said, noting attackers face none of the governance, policy or training constraints that slow enterprise adoption.
