CBS News cited Arkose Labs research showing a 2,087% increase in bot attacks on dating apps between January 2023 and January 2024, with scammers deploying bots to register fake profiles at massive scale ahead of Valentine's Day. CEO Kevin Gosschalk told the network that AI is now fueling the arms race: "The attackers are motivated by huge amounts of money, and it's just so lucrative."
