An Arkose Labs report warns UK commerce it faces its most challenging year ever, documenting an 85% increase in login attacks and fake account creation across 150 billion-plus transaction requests in 254 countries. 1 in 4 new online accounts were fake and 21% of all traffic was confirmed as fraudulent, with gaming, streaming, social media, travel and e-commerce sectors hardest hit. The travel industry alone saw a 12.5x increase in attacks as consumers resumed booking.
