Arkose Labs' Q2 2022 State of Fraud and Account Security report reveals that master fraudsters — high-skill cybercriminals who invest heavily in sophisticated tooling — can earn up to $600,000 a month, nearly 3 times the average salary of a FTSE 100 CEO. The report documents a significant rise in online attacks during Q1 2022, driven by the high return on investment for launching cyberattacks. Arkose Labs warns that as fraud ROI hits unprecedented levels, attackers are reinvesting earnings to mount even more sophisticated and persistent campaigns.
