Kevin Gosschalk, founder and CEO of Arkose Labs, writes in Forbes about the rising threat of card testing fraud, where attackers use bots to validate stolen payment credentials against online merchants before deploying them at scale. Gosschalk notes that online payment fraud is projected by Juniper Research to cost merchants more than $206 billion by 2025 — nearly 10 times Amazon's 2020 net income. He argues that enterprises must better understand the mechanics of card testing to build effective defenses.
